The Artist

It’s mind boggling how quickly a child’s mind (and body) grows! You’ll see where I’m going with this in a minute, but for now please ogle that cute baby!

We must have had a creative bug in our britches tonight. We let Estelle practice with the DSLR with heavy supervision. Check out some of her shots. This is all Estelle. I’m not saying it’s great photography, but it’s pretty fun and she didn’t break the camera!

The next one is my favorite!

Then she took our food orders, and drew food…that actually kind of looks like food. This is really the mind boggling part, at least for us. A couple months ago it was all scribbles all the time, but over the past few weeks her hand skills have improved. She was even drawing Barbapapas in the sand at the beach.  Please don’t take this as boasting, we are constantly amazed by what Estelle’s little buddies can do too!

This is a banana. I’m not sure why this one image is smaller than all the others, and I don’t really have time to figure it out!

The leggiest E ever, but she gets the point!

Pizza!

Sprinkle donut.

The following was Estelle’s train of thought when picking out her new markers yesterday.

Me: “Look, Estelle, we should get new markers. Remember your old ones dried up?”

Estelle: “Yeah!”

Me: “Or do you want the little ones instead?”

Estelle: “Little ones, because I’m little.”

Estelle: (as I hand her the little ones) “No, big ones because I’m big.”

Sigh, toddler angst at it’s finest. For the record, we got the “big” markers.

Oh hey Ted! Estelle is still and will always be 100% precious. She has the creative gene just like her mom and dad!
